I have come to the conclusion that for the moment I am finished with Botswana. It feels like pulling at a dead horse to make it stand up. What do the government and other leaders in Botswana do to give the inhabitants a better life? What improvements have our exertions in fact made? Our trust in Batswana has declined quite a bit. Some people see us as a bag with money from which they can take as much as they like and can do with whatever they like. Without a doubt there are people who do respect us and who we have been able to support. But at this moment a negatief feeling dominates. In such a case it is better set one's mind on other things. The report of last year's journey shall be finished but for the moment I shall not write more in "yesterday". I will continue to read the Botswana newspapers.
